JOB TITLE: Instructional Specialist-SCE

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Instructional Specialist is responsible for providing direct instruction and instructional support to students with identified deficits in reading or mathematics. The Instructional Specialist will also provide content specific coaching to teachers as a part of the continuous cycle of campus feedback and support.

Required:
The usual and customary methods of performing the job functions require the following physical demands: physical mobility, standing, prolonged sitting, some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling. Mental demands: Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations; ability to interpret a variety of data; ability to apply knowledge of current educational research and theory, ability to be effective in both oral and written communication; ability to maintain emotional control under stress.
