Job summary

QXO is seeking a CAD Specialist to design metal roof layouts for commercial and residential projects. You will create, revise, and maintain technical drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or MicroStation, converting sketches and measurements into precise digital drawings.

• Experience creating technical drawings using CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Design metal roof layouts for commercial and residential projects as a CAD Specialist.
• Create, revise, and maintain technical drawings using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, MicroStation).
• Convert sketches, field measurements, and notes into accurate digital drawings.
• Prepare layouts, schematics, assembly drawings, and other technical documentation.
• Verify dimensions, materials, and specifications for design accuracy.
• Maintain drawing revisions and document control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Update drawings as project requirements evolve.
• Ensure drawings comply with company standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, project managers, and production teams.
• Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the design process.
• Work primarily in an office environment with occasional local travel.

What You\'ll Do

• Design metal roof layouts for commercial and residential projects as a Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) Specialist.
• Create, revise, and maintain technical drawings using CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or MicroStation.
• Convert sketches, concepts, field measurements, and engineering notes into accurate digital drawings.
• Prepare layouts, schematics, assembly drawings, and other technical documentation.
