Job summary

Shure Incorporated in Skokie, IL is seeking a Specialist I, Event Management to support planning, coordination, and execution of tradeshows, end-user events, and dealer programs. The role serves as the project management backbone, maintaining timelines, coordinating workflows, and overseeing logistics in a hybrid on-site role.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in communications or marketing with 0–2 years in event planning, strong communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain event project plans, timelines, and workflow processes across the event portfolio.
  • Administer event planning systems, project management tools, and workflow processes, including Jira boards, planning trackers, status reporting, documentation management, and project dashboards.
  • Coordinate internal event communications by preparing meeting agendas, action-item summaries, status updates, stakeholder presentations, pre-show planning materials, and post-show recap presentations to keep teams aligned throughout the event lifecycle.
  • Manage booth staff administration and event logistics, including registration, hotel room blocks, catering requests, travel coordination, staffing schedules, staffing communications, and other operational requirements that support event participation.
  • Coordinates budget administration activities, including purchase requisitions, invoice processing, expense tracking, budget reconciliation, and reporting to ensure accurate financial management of event programs.
  • Facilitates legal, procurement, and compliance workflows by coordinating contract reviews, sponsorship agreements, vendor documentation, insurance requirements, and approval processes to ensure timely execution of event-related agreements.
  • Provides operational support before, during, and after events by coordinating schedule adjustments, stakeholder communications, issue resolution, and administrative needs that contribute to successful event execution.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, including maintaining event documentation, planning resources, vendor records, contact databases, and operational procedures to ensure information is organized, accessible, and current across the event team.

In your role as Specialist I, Event Management, you will be responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and operational execution of tradeshows, end-user events, and dealer programs. PAY TRANSPARENCY

Shure offers a competitive compensation structure that is reviewed annually to attract, hire, and retain the industry's top talent. Base salaries vary based on qualifications, geography, experience, and expertise in each respective discipline. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base salary for the opportunity. The base salary for this position ranges from $54,700 to $87,600. If your salary expectations do not align, still apply as we are often flexible on the seniority of posted positions. All positions also include an award-winning benefits package.
