Job summary

WSB is seeking an Early Career Specialist to lead the national intern program, overseeing 60+ interns annually and guiding graduate engineers and new hires through onboarding and early career development.

You will own recruitment, orientation, mentorship, and training while partnering with universities and hiring managers to align early career strategies across the firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience in HR, talent acquisition, or campus recruiting.
• PHR, SHRM-CP, or HRIP certification preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite products.
• Office environment with standard equipment.
• Minimal travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruitment for college-level interns and early career professionals, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
• Partner with universities, technical schools, and industry organizations to build talent pipelines.
• Coordinate and manage internship and early career development programs, including orientation, mentorship, and training initiatives.
• Partner with and guide hiring managers to understand workforce needs and align early career strategies accordingly.
• Support development pathways and experiences for graduate engineers and other early career hires beyond internship conversion.
• Track and analyze program metrics to assess effectiveness and recommend improvements.
• Organize and attend career fairs, networking events, and campus recruitment activities.
• Serve as a key point of contact for interns, graduate engineers, and early career staff, offering guidance, engagement, and support throughout their early journey with the firm.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies related to hiring and onboarding.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to recruitment and program activities.

What you will do:

What you will bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience in HR, talent acquisition, or campus recruiting, preferably in the AEC industry.
• PHR, SHRM-CP, or HRIP certification preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite Products (e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc).
• Work is primarily performed in an office environment with standard office equipment.
• Minimal travel may be required.

Pay Range The estimated pay range for this job. Disclosing pay information promotes competitive and equitable pay. The actual pay rate will depend on the person's qualifications and experience. $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 / year
