Job summary

WSB is seeking an Specialist, Human Resources Early Career to lead our national intern program and support early career professionals. You will manage recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and development initiatives for 60+ interns annually, while guiding graduate engineers and new hires through their first years.

You will partner with universities and industry groups, track program metrics, and ensure compliance with employment laws and policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field, preferred.
• HR experience or campus recruiting preferred.
• PHR/SHRM-CP/HRIP certification preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Office environment with standard equipment; minimal travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruitment for interns and early career professionals, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
• Partner with universities, technical schools, and industry organizations to build talent pipelines.
• Coordinate internship and early career development programs, including orientation, mentorship, and training.
• Guide hiring managers on workforce needs and align early career strategies.
• Support development pathways for graduate engineers and early career hires beyond internships.
• Track program metrics and recommend improvements.
• Organize career fairs, networking events, and campus recruitment activities.
• Serve as a contact for interns and early career staff, providing engagement and support.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies; maintain records.

Education

This role owns the full intern experience, from recruitment and coordination to engagement, development, and the execution of summer programming. The Specialist also supports our early career professionals program for graduate engineers and new full-time hires, helping them onboard and grow in their first years with the company. What you will do:

• Lead full‑cycle recruitment for college‑level interns and early career professionals, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
• Partner with universities, technical schools, and industry organizations to build talent pipelines.
• Coordinate and manage internship and early career development programs, including orientation, mentorship, and training initiatives.
• Partner with and guide hiring managers to understand workforce needs and align early career strategies accordingly.
• Support development pathways and experiences for graduate engineers and other early career hires beyond internship conversion.
• Track and analyze program metrics to assess effectiveness and recommend improvements.
• Organize and attend career fairs, networking events, and campus recruitment activities.
• Serve as a key point of contact for interns, graduate engineers, and early career staff, offering guidance, engagement, and support throughout their early journey with the firm.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies related to hiring and onboarding.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to recruitment and program activities.
• May remain in stationary position for extended periods.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What you will bring:

• Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 24 years of experience in HR, talent acquisition, or campus recruiting, preferably in the AEC industry.
• PHR, SHRM-CP, or HRIP certification preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite Products (e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc).
• Work is primarily performed in an office environment with standard office equipment.
• Minimal travel may be required.
