Job summary

M-D Building Products, Inc is seeking an HR professional to support regional HR initiatives across recruiting, onboarding, engagement, and employee relations. The role partners with the HR Manager to ensure alignment with the talent strategy and coordinates recruiting activities with hiring managers and Corporate HR Shared Services.

Key responsibilities include interview scheduling, onboarding, handling employee questions, supporting engagement programs, and maintaining accurate HR records.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of progressive HR experience across multiple disciplines.
  • Experience in a matrixed organization or with shared services is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Support regional HR initiatives across recruiting, engagement, leadership development, and employee relations.
  • Partner with the HR Manager to ensure alignment with the talent strategy.
  • Coordinate recruiting activities with hiring managers and Corporate HR Shared Services.
  • Facilitate interview scheduling, candidate communication, onboarding processes, and orientations.
  • Serve as first point of contact for employee questions and concerns, escalating as appropriate.
  • Support engagement initiatives, communications, and recognition programs.
  • Assist with documentation and follow-up on employee relations matters.
  • Collaborate with Corporate HR Shared Services to ensure efficient delivery of HR processes (onboarding, data updates).
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Prepare reports, track HR metrics, and support regional HR projects.
  • Greet visitors and provide day-to-day operational support to the HR Manager and regional leaders.

Job description

  • Support the implementation of regional HR initiatives across recruiting, engagement, leadership development, and employee relations
  • Partner with the HR Manager to ensure alignment with overall talent strategy
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Support
  • Coordinate recruiting activities in partnership with hiring managers and Corporate HR Shared Services
  • Facilitate interview scheduling, candidate communication, onboarding processes, and orientations
Employee Relations & Engagement
  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions and concerns, escalating as appropriate
  • Support engagement initiatives, communications, and recognition programs
  • Assist with documentation and follow-up on employee relations matters
HR Operations & Shared Services Partnership
  • Collaborate with Corporate HR Shared Services to ensure efficient delivery of HR processes (e.g., onboarding, employee data updates)
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
Administrative & Analytical Support
  • Prepare reports, track HR metrics, and support regional HR projects
  • Greet all visitors in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner upon arrival and answer the door promptly and determine the purpose of each visitor’s visit
  • Provide day-to-day operational support to the HR Manager and regional leaders

Minimum Qualifications
  • 2–4 years of progressive HR experience
  • Exposure to multiple HR disciplines (e.g., recruiting, employee relations, HR operations)
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization or with shared services preferred

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This role is primarily performed in an office, hybrid, or remote environment. Physical demands are minimal but may include prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and working at a computer. Occasional lifting of materials up to 20 pounds may be required.
