Job summary

The Specialist’s role is to balance the competing priorities of resource utilization and student training, ensuring the schedule is planned and executed in a manner that balances resource utilization and student progress.Duties/ResponsibilitiesScheduling:Required to schedule the assets according to the allocation planStay up to date with scheduling tools and systemsEnsure working knowledge of the applicable regulations, contractual framework and operational policies and procedures impacting the schedule processesDispatching:Oversee day to day execution of the training scheduleCoordinate aircraft maintenance and ensure available aircraft are airworthyAid in the identification and resolution of resource discrepanciesProvide guidance to students and instructors regarding any required materials that may be needed before a flight.Document and report any issues that arise that may impact on the schedule, student or instructor performance, or resources.Maintain historical data on all flights and provide necessary reporting to operations management.Ensure each flight is completed as assigned by the company, strictly adhering to schedules, routes of flight and load manifests.Collaborate with other team members to resolve potential schedule/resource conflictsOther responsibilities/requirements:Provide excellent customer serviceMust be able to pass a five-year felony background checkAll other duties and responsibilities assignedQualificationsMinimum RequirementsExperience1+ years of experience preferredComputer skills (knowledge of MS Office programs, such as Word, Excel) are preferred.EducationHigh School Diploma or Equivalent required.Associate degree preferred but not requiredEssential Knowledge, Skills, BehaviorsMust have good people and customer service experience skillsMust have exceptional written and oral communication skills and be able to interact with a wide variety of people.Positive attitude, with a willingness to learn new responsibilities, adapt to change, collaborate as a team-player, and has a passion for continuous improvement.Strongly motivated with excellent time management and organizational skills.Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.High degree of interpersonal skill and tact to establish and maintain effective working relationships.Strongly service oriented with a professional mentalityEfficient at multitaskingExceptional interpersonal, organizational and communication skillsProven problem-solving and information analysis skillsIndependent decision-making skillsOutstanding attention to detail, organizational skills, valuing compliance & ethical behavior, governance & controls, and adhering to company and financial policies.Proficiency with Microsoft Office productsCommitment to the company culture as a subsidiary of United Airlines and valuing the Core4.Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentThis position requires someone that can complete all of the essential functions and physical requirements of the job.This position is located in an Airfield setting environment which includes loud noise and flashing lights.Sometimes moves items weighing up to 25 pounds across the officeEEO Statement: Westwind School of Aeronautics Phoenix, LLC, dba United Aviate Academy (UAA), is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Prohibits Discrimination and Harassment of Any Kind: All employment decisions at UAA are based on business needs.
