Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Prepare SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, 11-K) and other regulatory reports.
  • Prepare internal management financial reporting and analyses from consolidated statements.
  • Coordinate with auditors and service providers during audits.
  • Draft accounting memos and assist in journal entry reviews.
  • Support benefit plan financial statement preparation and submissions.
  • Research accounting literature and implement new SEC guidance.
  • Assist senior leadership with technical accounting matters.

Job description

As a member of our client's Financial Reporting Team, you will be responsible for preparing filings for the Securities and Exchange Commission (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K. 11-K), supporting other regulatory filings including the preparation and submission of benefit plan financial statements, and performing accounting processes. You will interact with senior leadership and financial leaders across the globe in support of our reporting requirements and in contributing to the company's continued success.


Responsibilities


  • Prepare internal management financial reporting and analyses based on the consolidated financial statements and supplemental information.

  • Lead processes in support of quarterly and annual Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings (Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8- K, 11-K), securities registration statements (Forms S-3, S-4) and other regulatory filings.

  • Lead processes involving the preparation and submission of benefits plan financial statements across our portfolio of defined contribution, defined benefit, and other post-retirement benefit plans.

  • Plan and execute Corporate accounting processes, including but not limited to preparing and reviewing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and drafting accounting memos.

  • Coordinate with independent auditors to assist in audit requests. Liaise with third party service providers.

  • Research technical accounting matters and implement newly issued accounting literature and SEC rule- making releases across business units.

  • Consult with business unit financial management on technical accounting matters.

  • Support continuous improvement projects including technology-based initiatives.

  • Other duties and projects as assigned.


Qualifications


  • BA/BS degree in Accounting or related discipline or the equivalent combination of education and experience necessary to perform the essential functions of the job

  • CPA

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in “Big 4” public accounting or comparable relevant industry experience.

  • Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC rules and regulations.

  • Ability to work with minimal direction, set priorities and handle multiple tasks and demonstrate good planning and organization skills. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to completeness and accuracy.

  • Sound verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with people at all levels including being an effective team member.

  • Experience with OneStream consolidation software and Workiva SEC reporting tool desirable. Interest or experience with advanced technologies (generative AI, robotic process automation) is preferable.

  • Familiarity with Aerospace & Defense industry and related accounting matters is preferable.

  • Must be willing to work in the CHQ
