Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service, order management, supply chain, logistics, manufacturing support, or a related business environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and professional email etiquette.
  • Working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer service activities to resolve order, delivery, product, and service-related inquiries.
  • Validate and maintain EDI transactions to ensure accurate and timely processing of customer and inventory data.
  • Analyze inventory, order, and shipment discrepancies to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Process delivery transactions and purchase orders to support operational and inventory accuracy.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Transportation, Planning, Quality Assurance, and Sales teams to resolve customer and operational issues.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and product incident records to support compliance and quality standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and special projects that enhance service, efficiency, and productivity.

About the Role

We are seeking a Customer Service Specialist to join our team. As a Customer Service Specialist, you will be accountable for supporting customer order management, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency through effective transaction processing, EDI management, and issue resolution. This role serves as a key liaison between customers and cross-functional teams while driving customer satisfaction and continuous process improvement.

Compensation
  • Hourly: $22-$25
Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)
  • Manage customer service activities to resolve order, delivery, product, and service-related inquiries.
  • Validate and maintain EDI transactions to ensure accurate and timely processing of customer and inventory data.

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service, order management, supply chain, logistics, manufacturing support, or a related business environment.
  • Working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with professional email etiquette.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy and customer service excellence.
Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)
  • Associate’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Customer Service, or a related field.
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing, food production, distribution, or consumer packaged goods environment.
  • Experience managing EDI transactions, error resolution, and inventory-related processes.
  • Knowledge of subcontracting purchase orders, inventory management, and order fulfillment workflows.
  • Continuous improvement experience and demonstrated ability to identify and implement process enhancements.
