Pura Vida Miami is seeking a Catering Specialist to support growth, execution, and operations of our catering business throughout Florida. You will blend sales support, client relationship management, and event coordination to drive revenue and ensure exceptional guest experiences.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Catering Specialist will work to support the growth, execution, and operational success of Pura Vida Miami’s catering business throughout the West Coast of Florida. This role combines sales support, client relationship management, business development, and catering operations to help drive revenue growth while ensuring exceptional execution.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, relationship-driven, and passionate about hospitality. They will play a key role in generating new catering opportunities, nurturing client relationships, supporting sales initiatives, and ensuring seamless communication between clients, store teams, and operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales & Business Development

• Report to the Director of Catering Sales and support the growth of catering sales throughout the DMV area.
• Identify, prospect, and cultivate new catering opportunities by proactively engaging local businesses, residential communities, schools, fitness studios, healthcare providers, even venues, and community organizations.
• Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with both prospective and existing clients to drive new business, increase repeat orders, and foster long-term partnerships.
• Represent the brand at networking events, community activations, local partnerships, and promotional events to generate leads and strengthen market presence.
• Execute outbound sales initiatives, including cold calling, email outreach, and in-person visits, to consistently build a healthy sales pipeline.
• Support local marketing initiatives by distributing catering collateral, coordinating promotional efforts, and increasing awareness of our catering offerings within the community.
• Collaborate with Operations, Marketing, and store-level teams to ensure a seamless client experience from initial inquiry through successful order execution.

Client Experience & Account Support

• Respond to catering inquiries, provide menu recommendations, coordinate order details, and ensure timely communication.
• Assist in developing and maintaining strong client relationships that drive repeat business and long-term partnerships.
• Support post-event follow-up and client feedback initiatives to continuously improve the customer experience.

Catering Operations & Execution

• Maintain and organize catering orders through internal systems and Google Calendar, ensuring all stakeholders are informed of upcoming events, deliveries, staffing needs, and special requests.
• Create, update, and distribute Event Summary Forms for catering events and space rentals.
• Coordinate with store leadership, operations teams, and delivery partners to ensure successful execution of all catering orders and events.
• Assist with invoice tracking, deposits, payment follow-up, and administrative support related to catering operations.
• Attend catering events as needed to support setup, execution, presentation standards, and overall guest experience.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, communication, and operational efficiencies that support continued catering growth and scalability.

EXPERIENCE

• 1-3 years of experience in catering coordination, hospitality, event planning, restaurant operations, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple orders and priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly detail-oriented with strong follow-through and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with clients, store teams, and leadership.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, and CRM systems preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
• Ability to commute between multiple locations on the West Coast of Florida.
• Passion for hospitality, guest experience, and operational excellence.
• Experience in multi-unit restaurant or catering operations is a plus.
