Clinical Investigation Services are provided on three sites: Royal Lancaster Infirmary, Furness General Hospital, and Westmorland General Hospital. The post will be based at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary site.

The Clinical Investigation Unit offers a wide range of invasive and non-invasive services. We have a dedicated Cardiac Centre at Westmorland, providing Angiography, Pacing, CRT services, and the introduction of Dobutamine Stress Echo.
Applicants must possess BSE accreditation, demonstrate proof of continued professional development, and have excellent communication and customer care skills. A willingness to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
Our services operate across three main hospitals—FGH, RLI, and WGH—and include community health care premises such as Millom, GP practices, QVC, and Ulverston Health Centre.
FGH and RLI offer general hospital services, including emergency care, critical/coronary units, and various consultant-led services.
WGH provides general hospital services along with an Urgent Treatment Centre for non-life-threatening conditions like broken bones and minor illnesses.
All hospitals provide planned care, outpatient services, diagnostics, therapies, day cases, and inpatient surgery. We also deliver outreach services and diagnostics from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
Our community services for adults are delivered in homes, community centres, clinics, GP practices, and hospitals, aiming to help individuals remain independent, improve their health, and manage conditions through high-quality care, advice, and support.
