Job summary

The Charles Schwab Corporation is seeking a dedicated Advisor Wealth Services professional to support Independent Advisors with custody, trading, and practice management needs. You will handle inbound/outbound calls and emails, drive issue resolution, and advocate for clients in a relationship-based service model.

Based in Westlake, TX, this on-site role emphasizes multi-channel support, product knowledge, and proactive problem solving to help advisors grow their practice while delivering

Qualifications

  • Strong relationship building and problem-solving abilities across various levels.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills in a multi-channel environment.
  • Self-directed and able to influence advisor business through education and product knowledge.
  • Demonstrated integrity, professionalism and strong work ethic with attention to detail.
  • Good judgment balancing risk management with proactive problem solving.
  • Minimum 6 months Advisor Wealth Services experience in an Associate or Specialists role.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with advisor needs through inbound/outbound calls and emails on topics including new accounts, transaction status, money movement, transfers, retirement services, and account maintenance.
  • Provide outstanding client service with a one-call resolution mentality and empathy.
  • Manage advisor needs to completion via follow-up, research, advisor advocacy, and collaboration with partners for timely delivery.
  • Practice active listening and document conversations in the CRM for a personalized service approach.
  • Anticipate client issues and take steps to prevent future problems.
  • Champion Schwab’s digital platform and guide advisor use of tools to encourage adoption.

Advisor Wealth Services (AWS) is the industry leader in providing custody, trading, technology, and practice management services to independent advisory firms. The AWS service teams add value to advisory firms across the country by providing exceptional client service and support. This role specifically is within the Institutional Group (IG) Service, and we are responsible for servicing the needs of Advisors throughout the country with assets under management at Schwab between $300M - $2+B. Our service teams utilize a relationship-based model to act as a dedicated, specialized resource providing insightful solutions and a trusted service experience to our clients.

Our Specialists build trust and inspire confidence through brilliant experiences. In AWS Institutional Group, you are joining a team of professionals with a passion for providing a high-quality service experience to advisors in a relationship-based service model.

  • Assist with advisor needs through a mix of inbound calls, outbound calls, and e-mail related to all manner of topics including opening new accounts, transaction status, money movement, transfer of account, retirement services, and various other account maintenance topics required for the advisor to run their day-to-day business and succeed at their longer-term goals.
  • Provide outstanding client service with a “one call resolution” mentality while demonstrating empathy and problem-solving skills
  • Manage advisor needs through to completion by means of follow-up, advanced research, advisor advocacy, and collaboration with business partners to ensure timely and accurate delivery of information
  • Practice active listening, open-ended dialogue, and rapport building to gain a thorough understanding of advisors’ needs, while documenting conversations in our internal Client Relationship Management (CRM) platform for a personalized approach to service
  • Anticipate client issues and problems; and proactively take necessary steps to prevent such problems from occurring in the future
  • Champion client use of Schwab’s digital platform and provide website navigational support by leading with a superior understanding of features and benefits of Schwab tools, products, and services to encourage adoption of our industry leading platform
What you have

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong relationship building skills with demonstrated ability to problem solve, interact with individuals at various levels, and think on your feet
  • Ability to manage moderately complex work, be self-directed, and influence advisor business through education and product knowledge
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with a desire to work in a multi-channel virtual environment (phone, email, web-directed)
  • Team orientation, enthusiasm, professionalism, and strong work ethic with high level of integrity and ethics
  • Sound judgement and the ability to balance effective risk management with problem solving
  • Solid organizational skills and desire to work in a multi-channel environment with attention to detail
  • Minimum 6 months Advisor Wealth Services experience in an Associate or Specialists role
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) license strongly preferred, but not required

In addition to the salary range, this role is eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
