Job summary

Ellensburg High School, part of Ellensburg School District 401, seeks a Parapro III – Special Services to support students with significant social, emotional, and developmental needs. The role involves reinforcing lessons, following behavior plans, collecting data, and supervising students under teacher direction.

The paraprofessional will work in classrooms including Structured Teaching and Life Skills programs, with 1:1 support for intensive medical or behavioral needs.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent and 18+ years of age.
• Meets one of Washington State paraeducator requirements: pass assessment or hold college credits or apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with class materials and data collection.
• Carry out instructional and behavior intervention plans for students with special needs.
• Monitor student activities and assist with daily care needs as required.
