Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Special Security Officer (SSO) at Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Hampton, VA. The candidate must already hold a current TS/SCI security clearance and will perform the full range of SCI security duties to support ACC Wing security programs and SCIF operations.

The role involves interpreting DNI/DIA and DoD directives, providing SCI security guidance, and maintaining accreditation and security documentation.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI security clearance on day 1.
• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with SCI in personnel, physical, information and basic information assurance.
• Knowledge of ICD 704, ICD 705 and DoD directives.
• Ability to gather facts and make sound decisions in security contexts.
• Familiarity with DNI/DIA directives and DoD security regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain SCI directives and guidelines to discharge SSO duties.
• Ensure SCI is properly accounted for, safeguarded, and disseminated only to authorized personnel.
• Investigate SCI security infractions and prepare required reports.
• Maintain liaison with collateral security officials to ensure mission readiness.
• Provide SCI security briefings and trainings as required by regulations.
• Process SCI position and eligibility requests and related security actions.
