Job summary

Portland Kids Academy is a private K - 8th grade special education school seeking a Behavioral Health Professional to support student behavior and learning. You will work with teachers and licensed clinicians to deliver instructional support and teach behavioral strategies for a small group of students with mental health needs, following the school calendar and summer program.

The role offers part-time hours, Monday through Friday, 7:45 am - 3:30 pm, aligned with the school day and calendar.

Qualifications

• At least 90 college credits required.
• Valid driver's license with proof of auto insurance.
• Positive person with a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support and teach behavioral management skills.
• Work alongside teachers, licensed clinicians and school personnel.

Description:

Portland Kids Academy is a private K - 8th grade special education school that blends behavioral support services with education for 10 students who have a mental health diagnosis that includes conduct disorders, anxiety and PTSD. As a Student Purpose Private School BHP (Behavioral Health Professional ) for Connections for Kids you'll work alongside teachers, licensed clinicians and other school personnel to provide instructional support and teach behavioral management skills for our small group of students. This position follows the school calendar time off for school vacation weeks and includes a 6 week summer program between July and August.

Qualifications:

• At least 90 college credits (3 years of college) REQUIRED.
• Have a valid drivers license with proof of auto insurance
• Are a positive person with a strong work ethic
