If you do not have direct LIHTC asset-management experience, explain the most comparable experience you would bring to the position.Position Specific Description:The Special Project Manager position at the City of Tucson’s Department of Housing & Community Development (HCD) is primarily responsible for asset management of City/El Pueblo Housing Development (EPHD) owned affordable housing, and working with staff across the department. They manage the oversight of third party property managers, property compliance, monitor operations, track and report on property performance. They will also manage other high-priority HCD/EPHD projects.Work is performed under the supervision of the Affordable Housing Development Administrator. This position does not supervise.Duties and Responsibilities:Initiates projects by outlining and documenting the project scope, identifying opportunities and constraints. Assists with developing potential project timelines. Conducts fieldwork to evaluate and document existing conditions and shares with City staff and consultants. Collaborates with consultants and City staff to refine the project scope and schedule. Monitors scopes, schedules, and budgets for multiple projects.Develops and implements public engagement strategies to reach relevant stakeholders and gathers community feedback for related projects. Attends and facilitates community meetings, plans and coordinates public meetings, delivers public presentations, produces promotional materials, prepares exhibits, and compiles and summarizes public input.Facilitates coordination among internal staff and external consultants to ensure assigned projects are completed timely and provides regular updates to HCD leadership on their progress.Develops and implements public engagement strategies to reach relevant stakeholders and gathers community feedback for related projects.
