Job summary

ColonialWebb is seeking a Foreman-level Welder and Pipefitter to lead field welding teams on diverse MEP projects in Richmond, VA. You will collaborate with the Assistant Superintendent and Lead Superintendent to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining quality.

Applicants should have strong mechanical and analytical skills, OSHA 30-hour certification, and extensive pipe welding experience on HVAC systems. A company vehicle and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30-hour certification and knowledge of BOCA/OSHA safety regulations.
• Experience welding pipes on HVAC boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and related equipment.
• Ability to read drawings, submittals and specifications to determine welding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control manpower and tools to ensure efficient use of resources.
• Direct installation of equipment and piping made of various materials using welded joints.
• Determine required equipment and welding method based on metallurgy and geometry.
• Weld pipes/metals using electric, gas, arc, MIG, TIG, STICK or equivalent techniques.
• Develop plans to address customer issues and ensure future satisfaction.
