Job summary

Universal Dedicated, Inc., a subsidiary of Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc., is seeking a Project Manager – Operations & Special Projects to support strategic initiatives across our transportation and logistics network.

This role offers problem-solving opportunities, cross-functional collaboration with Operations, IT, Billing, Safety, and others, and travel across North America to launch new accounts and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent logistics, transportation, supply chain, or operations experience will be considered.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.
  • Passport in hand or willingness to obtain one.
  • Flexibility to support launches, projects, and operational needs, including occasional second- or third-shift coverage.
  • Previous experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, supply chain, project management, or operations leadership preferred.

  • Provide operational support and leadership coverage for field locations when needed.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
  • Analyze operational performance data and develop actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Travel throughout North America to support account launches, audits, special projects, and strategic initiatives.
