Job summary

Adams 12 Five Star Schools seeks a dedicated instructional assistant to support students in Specialized Programs. You will tutor, adapt materials, monitor behaviors and assist with daily routines, health and hygiene tasks, and transportation during classes and bus stops.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, willingness to work with students with significant needs, and completion of required certifications within set timelines. A supportive, inclusive environment is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to work with students with significant needs.
• Criminal background check required for hire.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required within 3 months.
• CPI/Safety Care training certification required within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide support in general education setting to help students participate in class activities.
• Assist students in Specialized Programs by tutoring, adapting work and monitoring behavior.
• Assist with personal health, hygiene tasks and daily routines.
• Support implementation of students' programs including accommodations and IEP elements.
• Utilize safety techniques and maintain a safe classroom environment.
