Job summary

UF Health Central Florida is seeking a Special Procedures Technologist to assist radiologists under supervision and provide high-quality patient care. The role emphasizes minimizing radiation exposure and the ability to work independently within the Special Procedures modality.

Candidates should have post-secondary special training, graduate of an accredited radiology program, Florida licensure, ARRT, and BLS, and must be fluent in English. Cross-training in Special Procedures is preferred.

Overview

Under the direction of the Supervisor and in association with the radiologists, the Special Procedures Technologist conducts themselves in a professional manner, responding to patient needs and supporting their colleagues and associates in providing quality patient care. The technologist performs services in accordance to an accepted standard of practice and demonstrates expertise in minimizing radiation exposure to the patient, self and other members of the health care team. The technologist must be able to work independently in that modality.
