Job summary

UT Health Tyler in Tyler, TX is seeking a day shift, PRN Special Procedures Technologist to support interventional radiology procedures.

The role requires graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT registration within 90 days, and BLS within 14 days of hire. Cath lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs interventional, diagnostic and/or therapeutic radiology procedures for all ages (neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric) by utilizing ionizing radiation and other imaging modalities in order to aid in the diagnoses and treatment of disease. Employees will be subject to overtime and call back as required by hospital.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited school in Radiologic Technology
• Upon completion of an accredited radiology program, the employee will have 90 days to become ARRT registered and licensed through the Texas Medical Board.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Registered in VI within 2 yrs. of hire.
• 2 yrs. in Diagnostic Radiography.
• 2 yrs. Cath lab experience.
