Job summary

MobilexUSA is seeking a Radiology Technologist to provide mobile X‑Ray and EKG services to nursing homes and health care facilities. You will operate portable DR/CR units, capture diagnostic images, and transmit them to a Radiologist for interpretation.

Responsibilities include loading equipment, maintaining the vehicle, and ensuring radiation safety while communicating effectively with dispatch and clients. On-call weekend shifts provide additional pay and weekend on-call compensation.

Pay & Hours

PRN Shift: Two weekends 5:00pm-1:30am, on-call every other weekend - $60.00 on call pay for weekends, plus hourly rate when you get called out. Pay range: $24.00–$28.00 per hour based on experience.

Role

Provide mobile X‑Ray and EKG (if applicable) service to nursing homes, health care facilities, and other miscellaneous facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Perform and process X‑Rays using portable digital (DR) or computed (CR) radiography equipment and submit/transmit them to a Radiologist for interpretation.
  • Unload portable X‑Ray equipment and take it to facilities to perform exams ordered by the physician, obtaining clinically diagnostic, technically competent images.
  • Perform EKGs (as needed) and transmit them to a Cardiologist for interpretation.
  • Scan exam related paperwork and billing documents on a daily basis per protocol.
  • Regularly communicate with dispatch and management.
  • Communicate efficiently and interact professionally with peers, supervisory staff, and clients.
  • Maintain vehicle and X‑Ray equipment.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
  • Log into the self‑dispatching system or call dispatch to obtain information regarding beginning case load.
  • Arrive at the first case or location where you pick up the company vehicle at the start of your assigned shift or have left your house 30 minutes prior.
  • Wear company uniform, company‑provided name tag and radiation badge, and follow company dress code.
  • Carry the company‑provided phone on your person.
  • Respond to all urgent communications within 15 minutes.
  • Check voicemail/text messages from each client’s facility upon completion of your assigned case(s); or minimally every 30 minutes or as necessary.
  • Check for available cases via self‑dispatching system and/or check in with the dispatcher on duty every 30 minutes.
  • Verify orders against the exam list in the patient’s chart; ensure orders match the requisition before proceeding.
  • Verify patient identity with two identifiers, such as name and date of birth; if the patient cannot identify themselves, the nurse identifies and records the nurse’s name.
  • Verify patient images are correctly labeled with patient information before sending to teleradiology.
  • Practice proper radiation protection at all times, using issued equipment.
  • Abstain from consuming alcohol, illegal substances, or possessing weapons; comply with drug‑free workplace policy.
  • Maintain professional and ethical conduct according to the Company Code of Conduct.
  • Do not refuse to perform an assigned case regardless of its location.
  • Do not call the referral site for purposes other than providing an ETA.
  • Record all hours worked into the timesheet accurately and timely per protocol.
  • Maintain vehicle care per company policies and traffic laws; pay for any tickets incurred.
  • Produce and maintain a valid driver’s license; submit proof to HR and be subject to periodic checks.
  • Complete medical physical examinations, TB screening, and annual infection control trainings; submit documentation within two weeks of last annual exam.
  • Assume non‑personnel duties such as patient transfer support only belong to facility staff, not technologists.
Required Skills
  • Maintain required State licenses and/or ARRT Certification, health requirements, and operational requirements.
  • Valid driver’s license in the applicable state and in good current standing at all times.
  • Attend meetings as required.
  • Connect and disconnect Holter Monitors (if required).
  • Care for equipment in a professional manner; notify supervisor of malfunctions immediately.
  • Perform special projects or other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
  • Train other technologists as required.
  • Be self‑motivated, dependable, and work independently with little to no direct supervision.
