Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiology Program required.
• Florida Radiology License and ARRT Certification needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in Interventional Radiology procedures.

Description:

Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of radiographic / digital imaging equipment and table positioning for safe patient care. Assists physicians as scrub/circulator in Interventional Radiology procedures, including arteriograms, angioplasty, stent placement, thrombolytic therapy, embolization, percutaneous gastrostomy and nephrostomy, urologic stenting, venography, vena cava procedures, cholangiograms, TIPS, and endovascular repairs. Willing to adapt to new technologies and protocols.

Interventional Radiologic Technologist - Full Time

• Demonstrates knowledge of radiographic/digital imaging equipment and table positioning for patient safety.
• Ability to acquire images and send to PACS.
• Understanding of CPT coding and billing procedures.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Transports patients within the hospital as needed.
• Assists with patient transfer to/from procedure table and stretcher.
• Maintains communication with the physician during procedures for safety and accuracy.
• Willingness to learn new procedures.

Job Requirements

• Graduate of an AMA-approved RCIS, RCES, or Diagnostic Radiology Program.
• Florida Radiology License and ARRT Certification (CV, CI, or VI).
• Ability to perform and scrub all IVR procedures, flexible hours, and on-call availability including weekends and holidays.
