Job summary

FirstHealth of the Carolinas is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our Imaging Services team in central North Carolina. You will assist with angiographic and interventional radiology procedures, delivering minimally invasive, image-guided treatments in a patient-centered environment.

The role requires ARRT certification, BLS, and a willingness to train new graduates; VI certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology required.
• 1–2 years of experience in an interventional radiology setting preferred but training available for new graduates.
• Proficiency with angiography and fluoroscopy equipment.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, sterile technique, radiation safety, and contrast media protocols.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic angiographic procedures.
• Operate and maintain fluoroscopy units, C-arm, and DSA equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring comfort, safety, and sterile technique.
• Administer and monitor contrast media usage in accordance with safety protocols.
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other technologists to ensure seamless, high-quality patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the PACS and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
• Participate in on-call rotations as required.

We’re looking for a skilled and compassionate Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our Imaging Services team. In this role, you’ll assist with a variety of angiographic and interventional radiology procedures, helping deliver minimally invasive, image-guided treatments in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic angiographic procedures
• Operate and maintain fluoroscopy units, C-arm, and digital subtraction angiography (DSA) equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring comfort, safety, and adherence to sterile technique.
• Administer and monitor contrast media usage in accordance with safety protocols.
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other technologists to ensure seamless, high-quality patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the PACS and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
• Participate in on-call rotations as required.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology required.
• Advanced certification in Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI) preferred but not required
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a hospital or interventional radiology setting preferred but will train new graduates
• Proficiency in operating angiography and fluoroscopy equipment.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, sterile technique, radiation safety, and contrast media protocols.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.
