Job summary

Novant Health's Huntersville Medical Center seeks an Interventional Radiology Technologist I to join our acute care team. You will assist physicians in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and operate the x-ray equipment to obtain diagnostic images.

Requirements include ARRT certification and at least 1 year in Diagnostic Radiology; Interventional Radiology experience is preferred. Schedule is 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday, with no call or weekends.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification is required.
• Minimum of one year in Diagnostic Radiology.
• Interventional Radiology experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and attention to detail are essential.

What You'll Do

The Interventional Radiology Technologist I assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the x-ray equipment in order to obtain diagnostic images.

What We're Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program, required.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of one year of experience in Diagnostic Radiology, required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in Interventional Radiology, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography - RT(R), required.
  • IV Credentialed, preferred.
  • Applicable state licensure, required.
• Additional Skills Required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Thorough knowledge of interventional procedure and activity.
