Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) seeks a skilled Radiology Tech to work closely with the CVOR team. You will operate vascular C-arm equipment to capture accurate images and ensure optimal radiation safety during vascular procedures.

The role includes preparing and positioning patients for surgery, scrubbing to assist with catheters and stents, maintaining regulatory documentation, and contributing to the development of a new hybrid room as part of the CVOR team.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree from an accredited radiologic technology program.
  • Minimum of 1 year work experience.
  • Must be registered with ARRT. Licensure from SC RQSA preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain vascular C-arm equipment to obtain accurate images.
  • Adhere to radiation safety and protection practices and maintain required documentation.
  • Prepare and position patients for surgery; assist in scrubbing for catheters, wires, stents, etc.
  • Assist in development of a new hybrid room and integrate with the CVOR team.

Minimum Training and Education

Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required.

Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
