Job summary

Cabarrus Rowan Community Health Centers seeks a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant I to support providers in the assigned clinic. Under supervision, you will assist with clinical tasks and administrative duties, document patient information, manage intake and vital signs, and ensure smooth workflow in the care setting.

Ideal candidates are new graduates or with under one year experience, English proficient, and capable of handling clinic responsibilities with accuracy and compassion.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate in English accurately and concisely both verbally and in writing.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and medical office protocols/procedures.
• Familiarity with basic computer operations and electronic health records.
• New Graduate or less than one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill patient care responsibilities including patient flow, vital signs, and intake.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record with supervision.
• Assist with telephone follow-up and patient education as directed.
• Support clinic maintenance: instruments, equipment, and room cleanliness.
• Perform clerical tasks: verify insurance, collect demographics, file reports.
• Assist providers with procedures and document results.
• Manage supplies: inventory, orders, and receipt verification.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform preventive maintenance as needed.
• Maintain a safe and confidential environment following policies.
• Participate in trainings, in-services and staff meetings regularly.
• Adhere to infection control guidelines and provide patient-centered care.
• Translation services may be requested by management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
