Job Description

Allied Universal is seeking to hire a Police Officer. Our company Police Force is a strategic choice for private police contracting. We are looking for highly motivated applicants with the education and skills that meet all state training requirements mandated by the North Carolina Justice Academy. Candidates who meet these requirements and have the drive and passion to build a career in law enforcement will find our agency provides the necessary tactical resources, skills, care, and partnerships for growth. Our Special Police officers have multiple contracts across the state, offering job security and diverse policing experiences. As a Sworn Police Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in county facilities around Raleigh, NC.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $31.93 / Hour

Job Schedule: Night shifts, including Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 12:00 AM to 07:00 AM

Responsibilities

• Provide police services to clients, including safety procedures and emergency response activities
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and effectively
• Conduct regular and random patrols in and around schools and perimeter areas

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent
• Possess or be able to obtain a state driver’s license; be a US citizen for the state of application
• Effective written and oral communication skills; ability to interact professionally with all levels of personnel and the public
• Certification as a police officer, BLET Certificate, or state Law Enforcement Certification
• Out-of-state candidates must have completed an accredited Basic Law Enforcement Training course and have two years of full-time sworn law enforcement experience; an abbreviated BLET course may be required within a year of employment
• Current or honorably-discharged military police officers seeking certification may apply under certain conditions
• Successful completion of background checks, drug screening, and polygraph if in probationary status
• Honorable military discharge if applicable
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Intermediate computer skills for operating wireless technology
• Ability to handle crisis situations using authorized de-escalation tactics
• Perform general law enforcement duties including patrolling, issuing citations, conducting investigations, and making arrests
• Attend training sessions and maintain proficiency with firearms
• Work in various environments and physical conditions, including lifting up to 40 pounds and climbing stairs or ladders
