Job summary

Agtegra Cooperative is seeking a motivated Operator for our Special Operations team in Aberdeen, SD. The role supports grain and agronomy operations across multiple locations during peak workload times.

The position requires a Diploma/GED or 1 year of experience, valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Overtime, travel and varied outdoor/indoor work are possible.

Qualifications

• Diploma/GED or minimum 1 year experience.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

• Must have valid driver's license.
• Physical duties include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, twisting.
• Work in varied indoor/outdoor conditions with PPE including respirator.

• Willing to travel and spend nights away.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload trucks and railcars; assist with grain handling tasks.
• Provide courteous, helpful customer service to patrons.
• Maintain facility housekeeping (elevators, grounds, buildings).
• Monitor equipment; assist in maintenance and report concerns.
• Be a self-starter and engage with the team.
• Follow safety regulations and DOT/Fleet policies.

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Operator to join our Special Operations team. Special Operations serves to supplement staffing at locations during peak workload times. This position will be responsible for assisting with grain and agronomy operations at multiple locations throughout the Agtegra system where needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform critical operations to keep the facility running: loading/Unloading trucks and railcars, other grain handling including, filling/reclaiming of ground piles, transferring, blending etc.


• Provides a high level of customer service by displaying courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable interactions with our patrons.


• Maintains the housekeeping of the facility including: elevators, grounds, buildings, etc.


• Monitors equipment to ensure it’s in good working order, participate in the overall maintenance of the facility and equipment- notify management of any necessary repairs or possible equipment concerns.


• Be an engaged member of a team and be a self-starter.


• Adheres to all safety regulations, requirements, policies and procedures, including OSHA regulations, the vehicle policy and fleet safety program and DOT regulations.


• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma/GED or minimum 1 yearsof experience; or combination of education and experience


• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.


• Must be 18 years orolder.


• Must have valid driver's license.


• Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation.


• Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including a respirator.


• Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)


• Ability to work in confined spaces.


• Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts.


• Must be willing to travel and spend the night away.
