Job summary

Agtegra Cooperative in Aberdeen, SD is seeking someone to operate and maintain grain-handling equipment, load/unload trucks and railcars, and support safety and customer service in a busy agricultural setting.

You will perform inspections, monitor systems, input data, and work with a team to continuously improve facility operations. Competitive benefits and a stable rural-community workplace are offered.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Executing processes and operating machinery and equipment for grain handling, loading/unloading trucks and railcars, and transferring/blending.
  • Inspecting buildings, grounds, and equipment to troubleshoot, perform light maintenance, and complete repairs.
  • Monitoring equipment, inputting data, and using computer systems for recording.
  • Interacting with customers, peers, and management to provide exceptional service and promote teamwork.
  • Adhering to safety regulations, including OSHA, fleet safety, and DOT policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Summary
  • Executing processes and operating machinery and equipment as required, including loading and unloading trucks and railcars as well as other grain handling such as filling or reclaiming ground piles, transferring and blending. Ability to operate bobcats, loaders and tractors.
  • Inspecting buildings, grounds, and equipment utilized by the facility to troubleshoot, perform light maintenance, and complete repair work.
  • Monitoring equipment, operating control systems, processing samples, and utilizing computer systems to input and record data as necessary.
  • Interacting regularly with customers, peers, and management to provide exceptional customer service, pursue continuous improvement of facility operations, and promote a teamwork focused environment.
  • Adheres to all safety regulations, requirements, policies and procedures, including OSHA regulations, the vehicle policy and fleet safety program and DOT regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including a respirator.
  • Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
  • Ability to work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts.
