Job summary

Istss is hiring Teacher's Aides and Educational Instructional Aides for ESY/Summer School 2026 in Arlington, MA. Positions include support for Preschool through High School settings, with regular school hours and part-time summer hours.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
ParaPro Certification and/or Associate's Degree preferred.
Prior experience working with children in a school/classroom setting preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, students, and families.
Experience supporting students with special needs, behavioral support, or emotional development is highly valued.

Responsibilities

Support classroom teachers with daily lessons, activities, and instructional support.
Help create and maintain a structured, organized, and student-centered classroom environment.
Assist students academically, socially, and behaviorally throughout the school day.
Provide one-on-one or small group support as needed, including working with students with special needs or behavioral/emotional challenges.
Encourage student participation, confidence, and independence.
Communicate student progress and concerns with teachers and staff as appropriate.
