Job summary

The Phoenix Union High School District seeks a Community Skills/Personal Assistant to support students with special needs in classrooms and activities. The role includes assisting teachers, supervising students, and maintaining a positive, confidential environment.

Starting hourly rate is $18.59-$19.44, 9 months, at ALHAMBRA High School, with duties ranging from instruction support to routine clerical tasks and transportation as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; two years of classroom experience with special needs students or equivalent.
• Paraprofessional certification desirable; CPR/EMT/Non-Violent Behavior Management within 60 days; fingerprint clearance within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise students during instructional and non-instructional activities.
• Assist teachers with lesson preparation, accommodations, and data collection.
• Support behavioral management and student hygiene needs.
• Assist with transportation to and from off-campus activities as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow district policies.
