Job summary

Robinson ISD seeks a Special Needs Paraprofessional to support students with disabilities at Robinson High School. You will assist with mobility, instructional activities, and implementing IEP goals under the supervision of a certified teacher.

The role emphasizes support for self-help and behavior management, with classroom and campus-wide duties including lunch, bus, and playground supervision. Experience with disabilities and strong communication are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Texas educational aide certificate or 48 hours of college credit.
• Experience working with children with disabilities preferred.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living needs and mobility of students, including transfers and positioning.
• Support students with IEP goals and personalized instructional activities.
• Assist with self-help, behavior management, and instructional programs.
• Monitor and document student progress for teachers and therapists.
• Provide supervision during lunch, bus, and playground times.
• Assist with safety procedures and crisis interventions as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information.
