Job summary

Cherry Creek School District is seeking a Severe Needs Para Educator to support students with significant disabilities under licensed teachers. The role includes curriculum adaptation, progress tracking, and behavior support in both in-person and remote settings.

The educator assists with materials, tests, and routine tasks while promoting a safe, hygienic learning environment. Responsibilities include implementing IEP accommodations, monitoring student progress, and collaborating with the IEP

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma
• No professional work experience required
• Mandatory Crisis Prevention Intervention training provided by the District
• Medication administration training provided by the District as needed
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ability to modify curriculum
• Ability to implement behavior modification techniques
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job
• Ability to work one-on-one and in small groups with students

Responsibilities

• Assist students with classroom activities, adapt curriculum for individual student needs, and deliver curriculum to individuals and small groups.
• Implement IEP accommodations and maintain progress and behavior records with licensed staff.
• Assist with preparing materials, administering tests, attendance, and related documentation.
• Support classroom events such as fire drills and other duties as assigned.
• Provide remote learning support, assist with online activities, and help students with technology access.
