Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold an Associate degree or 60 college credits or have ParaPro credentials.
• Ability to work under supervision of classroom teacher and specialists.
• Experience with students with special needs preferred.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with administration, teachers, support staff and parents.

Responsibilities

• Support one or more students throughout the academic day.
• Assist with academic, social and behavioral growth and development.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
• Follow teacher directions and implement behavior plans as needed.
• Assist with mobility, personal care, daily activities and restroom needs as required.
• Utilize assistive technology to aid learning and communication.
• Occasionally ride the bus with students requiring supervision.
