Job summary

Shepherds College in Franklin, TN, is hiring Instructors to support the Empowered 4 Life Center and teach students with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a Christ-centered environment.

Two full-time Instructor positions involve facilitating academic development, practical classroom instruction, and promoting students’ growth toward Appropriate Independence™ in the Franklin area. Benefits accompany the role.

Responsibilities

• Instruct classes as assigned, incorporating differentiated instruction to promote learning for all students.
• Evaluate the academic needs of students and assist in the selection of appropriate curriculum materials which meet the needs of students and the objectives of the program.
• Present lessons utilizing effective instructional methods.
• Assess students’ knowledge, understanding, and skill acquisition regularly.
• Complete and maintain student records, including attendance and grades, on an ongoing basis.
