Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a Special Needs Caregiver / Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Indiana, PA to provide one-on-one support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will help clients live safely and independently at home and in the community.

Whether you are experienced or starting your career, BAYADA offers paid training, orientation, and clearances, plus a starting wage of $18.00/hr to $19.00/hr based on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Compassionate, reliable, and motivated individuals
• Experience supporting individuals with special needs / intellectual / developmental disabilities preferred, but not required
• No experience? We provide paid training!

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful relationships through companionship and engagement
• Assist with daily routines and life skills development
• Support participation in hobbies, recreation, and community activities
• Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and outings
• Encourage independence, confidence, and social connections
• Provide light meal preparation and household assistance as needed
