BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking Special Needs Direct Support Professionals in Philadelphia, PA to work one-on-one with individuals with IDD in home and community settings. The role includes personal care, transportation for activities, and supporting daily living while offering flexible part-time shifts and weekend options.

Applicants should have child abuse clearances, be able to transport clients, and share BAYADA's values of reliability and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• One or more years of experience working with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) such as Autism, Down Syndrome, or related behaviors.
• Ability to transport clients to community activities and appointments.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance (dressing, grooming).
• Accompany clients on errands and appointments.
• Engage clients in hobbies and activities they enjoy.
• Assist with daily tasks such as meal preparation.

BAYADA is looking for Special Needs Direct Support Professionals who have valid child abuse clearances, are able to transport clients for community outings, and share our core value of reliability! Weekend Hours Available!

BAYADA Home Health Care is currently seeking Special Needs Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to join the team in Philadelphia, PA. BAYADA’s In-Home and Community-Based Direct Support Professionals work one‑on‑one in home and community settings as a companion and mentor for individuals with intellectual or developmental disability to help them reach their full potential. This may include supporting children or adults with Autism, Down Syndrome, behaviors, and more. As a member of our team, you will be valued, respected, and heard. We provide an opportunity for you to make a difference in the lives of others with Special Needs / IDD and offer flexibility in our roles to match your needs. We are part-time and provide flexibility with scheduling through various shift locations and times throughout Philadelphia, PA.

Current Shifts Available (Child Abuse Clearances Preferred):

• 19046 every other Saturday and Sunday 9am-2pm
• 19104 every Saturday afternoon OR weekday evenings x3 per week
• And more available on the weekends supporting adult clients! No clearances needed!

How You’ll Make an Impact as an In-Home and Community-Based Direct Support Professional:

• Provide personal care assistance (dressing, grooming)
• Accompany clients on errands and appointments
• Spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities
• Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation
• Participate in community integration activities

Compensation & Schedule:

• Competitive pay rates starting at $18+ / hour with a weekly pay schedule
• Flexible scheduling (part-time, various shifts)
• Short commute times (we try to match opportunities within 30 minutes near your home)
  • Mileage reimbursement during community outings

Qualifications for our Special Needs Direct Support Professionals:

• One or more years of experience working with intellectual and development disabilities such as Autism, Down Syndrome, behaviors, and more
  • If you do not have this experience, training MAY be available through our apprentice program
• High school diploma or equivalent (18+)
• Ability to transport clients to community activities
• Child Abuse Clearances / Fingerprints preferred
