Purpose
The Special Needs Coordinator champions Chapel Pointe’s vision and values within Special Needs Ministry at all locations, maintaining consistency across programming and initiatives.
Responsibilities
Create Inclusive Environments - Central
- Oversee the implementation of the special needs ministry at Chapel Pointe sites.
- Develop, maintain, and staff environments that support the unique needs of children, teens, and vulnerable adults with special needs.
- Manage a growth-oriented ministry with goals that align with the mission and vision of the church.
Develop Special Needs Leaders - Central
- Educate volunteer leaders in NextGen Ministries and church-wide teams on the importance of individuals with special needs and how to effectively include them in our ministries.
- Work with NextGen volunteers and ministry leaders to identify and serve individuals with special needs.
- Present on Sunday mornings to support the special needs volunteer team, connect with families, and help new families assimilate.
- Recruit, process, and train volunteer teams to support our special needs families' unique needs.
- Build a team that enables all individuals with special needs to participate in NextGen programming at age-specific services and events.

- The ability to multi-task and stay focused is extremely important. The Chapel Pointe staff culture is extremely team-oriented. We work hard to keep the focus on Jesus in everything we do.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in special education or relevant experience
- Relevant ministry/work experience
- Ministry or volunteer experience required; experience within special needs ministry or related fields preferred
