Job summary

Washington Elementary School District is seeking an Instructional Assistant - Special Needs Preschool in Phoenix, AZ. Under direct supervision, you will assist teachers in a diverse classroom by providing materials, supporting special education students individually or in small groups, and helping prepare activities.

You will monitor students on the playground and in the cafeteria, copy and prepare educational materials, and communicate progress to parents.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• CPR certification within thirty days of hire date.
• Obtain and maintain AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (AZ IVP FPCC).

Responsibilities

• Assists special education students individually or in groups on various projects or activities.
• Monitors students on the playground and in the cafeteria; enforces school and classroom rules.
• Preps classrooms and materials, copies educational resources, and assists with lesson planning feedback.
