Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required before hire.
• 60 college credits or an associate’s degree or passing the paraprofessional test.
• CPR certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist special education students individually or in groups on academic, social, and functional activities.
• Support teachers with lesson materials, classroom setup, and behavior management.
• Monitor student behavior and enforce school policies.
• Provide progress updates to teachers and communicate with parents as needed.
• Prepare and photocopy educational materials and support transitions between activities.
