Job summary

ComForCare Home Care is seeking a compassionate caregiver to support an 8-year-old child with special needs in Fremont, California. You will help with daily activities, safety, social interaction, and engagement to help the child participate in learning and play at home, while collaborating closely with the family to maintain routines and comfort.

Shifts are Monday through Friday from 6:00 to 9:00 pm with occasional weekend hours.

Qualifications

• A passion to serve and help children with special needs (from 3 years through 17).
• Must be flexible to work Monday-Friday 6:00 - 9:00 pm and occasionally on weekends.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Previous experience in providing care for children with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and supervision to ensure the child’s health & safety.
• Attend to the Child’s basic self-help needs, including communication, socialization, and behavioral management.
• Organize activities to support learning and cognitive development.
• Assist with daily routines normally performed by family members. This includes assistance with the daily activities, including homework help, meal preparation & feeding, personal hygiene, toileting help, dressing, and light housekeeping.
