Job summary

Applitrack is hiring a Bus Monitor Aide to support Special Needs Mid-Day Runs, assist with students during transit to and from school, and provide classroom support under professional supervision. The role includes lifting, assisting with meals, and adherence to safety protocols and IEP-driven accommodations.

Position levels range from Aide I to VI, with responsibilities expanding as needed. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and current First Aid/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required for ALL Aide classifications.
• Ability to meet the classification definitions per WV Code.
• Current First Aid/ CPR Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual or small group instruction under supervision of a teacher.
• Provide students with individual attention and assist with escorting to and from the bus.
• Assist identified students in transit to and from the school and residence.
• Provide library, art, music, and physical education assistance to students.
• Assist in lifting, feeding, toileting, and changing clothes of students with disabilities.
• Secure students in car seats and wheelchairs; assist with safety during transport.
• Read to students and participate in oral communication; administer and score tests as needed.
• Maintain a structured learning environment and assist with emergency management and evacuation procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information and follow district policies.
