Ethos is seeking a licensed, part-time, experienced Insurance SIU / Claims Field Investigator in the Auburn, AL area.

Responsibilities

• Conduct recorded statements, accident scene investigations, online research, and witness canvassing.
• Recognize issues like compensability, misrepresentation, and insurance coverage relevant to claims decisions.
• Identify red flags and pursue thorough investigations based on findings.

Requirements

• Previous SIU experience with an insurance carrier or investigative firm.
• Background in military or law enforcement preferred.
• At least two years of property loss investigation experience, including theft, fire, water, wind, and vandalism losses.

Licenses and Certifications

• Private Investigator License required.
• Valid state-issued driver's license.
• Notary may be required.

Skills

Strong computer, internet, verbal and written communication skills, analytical thinking, problem-solving, persistence, and organization are essential.

Equipment

Candidate must own a well-maintained vehicle, a Windows laptop, cell phone, good internet connection, camera or similar device for photographs, and a recording device for statements.
