Job summary

Jekyll Island Club Resort is seeking an Event Server to help create unforgettable weddings, banquets, and corporate events on Georgia's coast. You will work with our Banquets & Events team to deliver polished, attentive service and ensure every guest feels welcomed.

Ideal candidates are energetic, dependable, and ready to contribute to a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Prior hospitality experience is preferred, and we offer competitive pay and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in serving, banquet, restaurant, or hospitality is preferred, but a great attitude and willingness to learn are important.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on events.
• Provide professional, friendly, and attentive guest service.

Responsibilities

• Set and prepare tables, buffets, and service areas.

The JOB

Our Event Servers are an essential part of creating exceptional weddings, celebrations, meetings, banquets, and special events throughout Jekyll Island Club Resort.

You’ll work alongside our Banquets & Events team to provide polished, attentive service while making sure every guest feels welcomed and cared for. From an intimate dinner to a large wedding reception, you’ll help create the kind of experience guests remember long after the event ends.

What You’ll Do

• Provide friendly, professional food and beverage service during weddings, banquets, corporate meetings, receptions, and special events
• Set and prepare tables, place settings, buffets, and service areas
• Serve plated meals, buffets, hors d'oeuvres, beverages, and other event offerings
• Anticipate guest needs and provide attentive service throughout the event
• Clear tables and maintain clean, organized event spaces
• Assist the banquet team with event preparation and breakdown as needed
• Follow banquet event orders and service standards
• Work closely with fellow team members to keep events running smoothly
• Represent Jekyll Island Club Resort with professionalism and genuine hospitality

• Must be able to provide professional, friendly, and attentive guest service.
• Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and safely carry trays, tables, chairs, and other banquet equipment as needed.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event and business needs.
• Must demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
• Must be willing to assist with event setup, service, and breakdown as needed.
