Job summary

Visit College Station is seeking a Recreation Assistant under the Sports & Conventions Servicing Coordinator to provide administrative support, customer service, and hospitality for special events and tournaments in the College Station area.

You will assist with planning and participation in events, welcome visitors, manage promotional inventory and equipment, including tournament gear and golf carts, use the CRM to communicate with partners, and help with setup and tear-down as needed,

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or currently attending high school.
• Must be sixteen (16) years of age or older.
• Texas Driver’s License.
• Experience working with youth and people of diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to work with general direction and minimal supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Willingness and availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the planning, preparation, and participation of Visit College Station events.
• Provide welcome and hospitality support, customer service and information to visitors.
• Maintain and track promotional inventory and equipment including tournament equipment and golf cart operation.
• Utilize the CRM system to communicate with partners and track group data.
• Provide support with setup/teardown and other event-related activities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
