Position Overview:As a Dishwasher at Castaway , you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and organization that are integral to the smooth functioning of our kitchen. Your responsibility will be to ensure that all dishes, glassware, utensils, and cooking equipment are washed, sanitized, and prepared to the highest standards, both for our staff and guests. In this role, your attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to quality will directly contribute to the success of our exceptional dining experience.Key Responsibilities:Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils, ensuring all items are spotless and ready for use. Utilize industrial dishwashing equipment, detergents, and sanitizers.Be proactive in troubleshooting and addressing any issues that may arise with dishwashing machines to minimize disruptions.Sort dishes and utensils by category, size, shape, or material to maximize cleaning efficiency. Ensure proper loading into machines for optimal results.Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment by sweeping, mopping, and wiping down counters and equipment. Keep all dishes neatly stored in their designated locations.During peak service periods, assist with various kitchen tasks such as food prep or plating to support kitchen efficiency.Strictly adhere to health and safety standards, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and wearing protective gear.
