Job summary

Two Rivers Supervisory Union is seeking a dynamic Special Educator for Cavendish Town Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time position involves collaborating with a small multidisciplinary team to address students’ academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs.

The educator will provide specialized instruction, consultation, and interventions, with a focus on Social Thinking, trauma-informed practices, and MTSS.

Qualifications

• Candidate must hold or be eligible to receive Vermont Special Education certification.
• Master’s degree preferred for advancement.
• Fingerprint background check is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small group instruction for identified students.
• Maintain records on progress of students to identify difficulties, track progress and justify treatment.
• Possess knowledge of Special Education Law, writing IEPs, adapting curriculum, and inclusionary practices.
• Collaborate and communicate with teachers, related service providers and families to implement programs.
