Job summary

Dayton Consolidated School is seeking a Special Education - Education Technician II. The role supports students with developmental delays and reinforces classroom learning under guidance of the teacher. Duties include workshops, materials prep, and classroom management during drills and emergencies.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED plus 60 credits, plus CHRC fingerprinting. Compensation ranges by education/experience and is set per the collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students with developmental delays.
• Ability to reinforce learning and assist in drill activities.
• Willingness to participate in required workshops.

Responsibilities

• Review and reinforce learning previously introduced by the classroom or special education teacher and assist in drill and practice activities.
• Participate in required workshops by request of the Building Leader, Supervisor, or Director.
• Alert teacher to any problem or special information about an individual student.
• Assist in the preparation of instructional materials or provide classroom management during drills, assemblies, etc.
