Job summary

Dayton Early Childhood Special Education Program at Dayton Consolidated School is seeking an Education Technician II to support one-to-one and small-group instruction, help with materials and classroom routines, and supervise students during activities. The role requires Maine certification (022) and a high school diploma with 60 college credits.

Compensation ranges from $18.25 to $26.50 per hour, depending on education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Works one-to-one and with small groups to implement curriculum, instruction and assessments.

  • Assists with supervising students during drills, assemblies, play periods, field trips, etc.
  • Assists students with lunch, snack, and cleanup routines.
  • Developing and administering school elementary curriculum.

Dayton Early Childhood Special Education Program is looking for an Education Technician II

Qualifications
  1. Eligible for appropriate Maine Department of Education certification (022).
  2. High School Diploma or GED equivalent, plus 3 years of post-secondary education. (60 credits)
Brief Job Duties
  • Works one to one and with small groups of students to implement curriculum, instruction and assessments.
  • Assists with building duties and routine tasks as assigned by the principal and supervising teachers (i.e. recess, lunch, bus duty, etc.).
  • Prepares and organizes materials for instruction as requested by teachers and supervisors.
  • Assists with the supervision of students during emergency drills, assemblies, play periods, field trips, etc.
  • Assists students with lunch, snack, and clean up routines.
  • Developing and administering school elementary curriculum
Compensation

Based on education level, experience, and per the collective bargaining agreement. Range: $18.25 - $26.50 per hour
